eTwinning Awards 2015

Intersteen T.E.A.M is a project that was awarded a national prize at the 2016 eTwinning National Prizes edition for the 16-19 age category. The project partner schools from Spain, Italy, Greece, and Turkey focused on the creation of a digital magazine written in English about current national and international affairs. The main goal was to develop the communicative competence in English by conducting investigative work and analyzing current affairs from a historical and geographical perspective. Carmen Mellado, the project coordinator of the IES Albert Einstein school (Seville), describes the different stages of the project development.

Are you ready to live in the 21st century?

eTwinning Awards 2015

Os presentamos el proyecto ‘Are you ready to live in the 21st century?’ Proyecto premiado en los premios nacionales eTwinning 2016 en la categoría de edad 4-11. Ha sido realizado por cuatro socios de España, Italia, Polonia y Portugal con alumnos entre 8 a 12 años. El trabajo en eTwinning se integra en en el currículo de cada uno de los centros participantes para desarrollar competencias transversales como la digital, la social y la ciudadana. Se trabajan todas las disciplinas involucradas en el proyecto desde un enfoque metodológico CLIL. Los estudiantes han intervenido activamente durante el desarrollo del proyecto, comunicando por videoconferencia con distintos objetivos, como recopilar datos y comparar con los de sus socios, realizar valoraciones, encuestas en línea y finalmente evaluando el proyecto. También se ha dado un espacio a la participación de las familias, votando en concurso de canciones o de logos.

We would like to present a final degree project from the Faculty of Education from Albacete; its author is Estefanía Nuñez Albiar, a Bachelor student, and Raquel Sánchez Ruiz is her tutor. The paper is an investigation that focuses on the pedagogical use of ICT in school in general and on the role of eTwinning and the use of its platform in particular. The paper explores the benefits of being involved in eTwinning as far as the students’ digital competence development. It also points out other benefits students gain from eTwinning in terms of language, teaching and culture. Continuar leyendo
