    TwinSpace

    General

    If you are a teacher (or teacher-administrator) on TwinSpace, you will see a “Teachers Board” on the home page, where you can post notes only visible to other teachers. As a “teacher-administrator”, you can delete any publication and as a “teacher” your own.

    Profile

    Click on your name, which appears when you are inside TwinSpace.

    TwinMail

    TwinMail is TwinSpace’s messaging service. It works the same as eTwinning Desktop messaging. Each person has a TwinMail for all their TwinSpaces, which allows them to send messages to any member of the TwinSpaces in which they participate.

    Member Management

    Access the “Members” area. If you have a teacher-administrator role, you can add teachers from this area.

    Access the “Members” area. When you find the person, click on “Delete” in the actions on the right.

    Materials (images, videos, documents)

    You can compress the file into a ZIP or RAR archive. They are accepted formats.

    An image album is a series of images chosen by TwinSpace members. All images are kept in the all images view, but you can use albums to select a specific collection to later add to a page and create a gallery with them. A folder is a space where documents can be organized and stored. It works just like a folder or directory on a computer (whether Mac or PC).

    We will start by accessing the section where the type of materials we want to find are located (images, videos or documents). Then we will insert the search terms in the box to the right of “search” and that’s it.

    To use videos you must first upload them to YouTube or Vimeo. Next we can add them to our TwinSpace from the “Materials” area, entering the “Videos” section. Simply copy and paste the URL (web address) of the video into the corresponding box.

    By hovering the mouse over the video we can use the link to “Modify”.

    Access the “Pages”. Under the list of pages we have a heading that is used to “Create page”

    When creating or modifying a page we can select from the drop-down menu “Who has permission to modify this page?”

    Once we are modifying the page, we will select the pushpin icon in the compose toolbar. We will follow the instructions on the screen.

    At the start of the TwinSpace, use the “What does this look like outside of the TwinSpace?” link below the TwinSpace area bar.

    Since version 4 of TwinSpace (in operation since September 2014), it is no longer possible to delete pages completely. To prevent any TwinSpace page from being seen, simply enter to modify it and click “Archive this page” below the editorial box.

    Go to “Archived Pages”, find the page you want to be visible again and click “Modify”. Below the redaction box, click on “Remove from archived pages.”

    Forums

    To open a new forum, you must be a teacher-administrator. You must access the “Forums” area and at the end of the list use the “Add forum” button.

    When entering the forum where we want to start the discussion, we must use “Open new discussion.”

    Click on one of the forums. Click on one of the discussions. At the end of the comments, if there are any, you will see a writing box, to write what we want. Then, press “Save” to publish it.

    In the comment that we want to quote we will see the “Quote” option, which can be used to respond in the conversation referring to that comment.

    Live: Chat

    To see this you have to be a teacher-administrator. It can be done from the “Chat” area which we can enter through the top bar.

    The chat area allows for many chats. In the chat that appears at the bottom of the screen we are limited to chats between two participants.

    Live: Live activity

    Click on “Create a live activity” and choose the title, number of participants, duration, date and time of the activity.

    Yes, you can record by clicking on Meeting and Start Recording.

    There are three profiles:

    1- Sharing: Share desktop, document or blank screen

    2- Discussion: Open a discussion thread, chat and create an online vote

    3- Collaboration: Upload files, chat, create notes and share blank documents.

    Host (Host), Presenter (Presenter) and participant (Participant). The host can decide what role each user has.
